Hi, my name is Amber Smith. I’m from South Bend, Indiana and I’m 37 years old. I decided to have weight loss surgery with EOC because my life had become unmanageable. I had been overweight for about 8 years and things really escalated when I became pregnant with my first child in 2019. I heard about EOC from my neighbor, Lauren Yowell. My surgery date was November 11, 2022 with Dr. C and I did the gastric sleeve. If I could give one piece of advice to people having weight loss surgery, I would say be patient and believe in yourself. My experience in Mexico was beyond enjoyable. The hotel accommodations were great. Everyone was super friendly. The tour was amazing and so was the gelato. Everyone was really professional at the hospital. I have zero complaints. It was awesome. Weight loss surgery has changed my life completely. I have a ton more energy. I am happier. I am more social. I am healthier. It’s even improved my marriage, my ability to be the best mom I can be and the best friend I can be. So far, I have lost 110 pounds.
