Hi, my name is David Gregory. I’m from Sildon, Alaska, and I’m 33 years old. I chose to have weight loss surgery with EOC because there wasn’t very many hoops that you had to jump through. It was pretty straightforward, no restricted diet besides the pre-op. There was no goal that you had to meet before in order to have surgery, and I’ve also had two family members go through the procedure. I heard of EOC through the two family members that went down and had surgery. My surgeon was Dr. C. My surgery date was December 5, 2022, and I had the vertical sleeve. A piece of advice that I would give anybody doing weight loss surgery is to trust the process. Listen to your stomach. It’s going to tell you what you can and cannot eat. My experience in Mexico was above and beyond any expectations that I had, from the nurses at the hospital to the surgeon explaining everything to the hotel staff, everybody in the office at the EOC, the drivers. Everything was smooth, and I really enjoyed myself. Weight loss surgery has changed my life in many ways, and the biggest one is just more energy. I have seven kids, so I’m able to get out, run, play with them more as they get older, and overall, just my mood is great. My body feels great. I’m able to do things and not have to hesitate and think like, oh, well, I’m too big for that. Since the beginning of my journey, I’ve lost 190 pounds. I am eight months post-op, and I have lost 165 since surgery.
