David Gregory, a 33-year-old from Sildon, Alaska, chose Elias Ortiz & Company (EOC) for weight loss surgery due to its straightforward and uncomplicated process. Unlike other options, EOC didn’t require meeting specific goals or adhering to a restrictive diet before the surgery. David’s decision was partly influenced by two family members who had previously undergone the procedure with EOC. Dr. C performed his surgery on December 5, 2022, utilizing the vertical sleeve technique. David advises those considering weight loss surgery to trust the process and listen to their stomachs as it guides their food choices. His experience in Mexico with EOC exceeded his expectations, from the hospital nurses and surgeon to the staff at the hotel, EOC office, and drivers. The entire process was seamless, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The procedure has brought significant changes to his life, most notably increased energy. With seven kids, David can now engage in activities like running and playing without hesitation or discomfort. Overall, he feels great physically and mentally, with a positive mood. Since starting his weight loss journey, David has lost a remarkable 190 pounds in just eight months, with 165 of those pounds shed since the surgery.
Hi, my name is David Gregory. I’m from Sildon, Alaska, and I’m 33 years old. I chose to have weight loss surgery with EOC because there wasn’t very many hoops that you had to jump through. It was pretty straightforward, no restricted diet besides the pre-op. There was no goal that you had to meet before in order to have surgery, and I’ve also had two family members go through the procedure. I heard of EOC through the two family members that went down and had surgery. My surgeon was Dr. C. My surgery date was December 5, 2022, and I had the vertical sleeve. A piece of advice that I would give anybody doing weight loss surgery is to trust the process. Listen to your stomach. It’s going to tell you what you can and cannot eat. My experience in Mexico was above and beyond any expectations that I had, from the nurses at the hospital to the surgeon explaining everything to the hotel staff, everybody in the office at the EOC, the drivers. Everything was smooth, and I really enjoyed myself. Weight loss surgery has changed my life in many ways, and the biggest one is just more energy. I have seven kids, so I’m able to get out, run, play with them more as they get older, and overall, just my mood is great. My body feels great. I’m able to do things and not have to hesitate and think like, oh, well, I’m too big for that. Since the beginning of my journey, I’ve lost 190 pounds. I am eight months post-op, and I have lost 165 since surgery.
