Important Information for Stopping Medication Before Surgery

It is especially important to follow these instructions regarding medications before surgery, as many medications may interfere with the clotting of blood and interact with anesthesia. By not complying with these instructions your surgery may be postponed.

Do not stop taking:
medications for thyroid, high blood pressure, depression, anxiety, or psychotropic
meds. If you are on heart or blood thinner medications, you can contact cindy@eliasortiz.co

Birth control / hormones RT

Because the surgeries are very quick and less than 1 hour, it is not mandatory to stop the birth control or hormone therapies before surgery. Make sure to discuss this with the surgeon in Tijuana.
